Because of this week's Mitchell report (naming steroid-users in major league baseball), we can expect heavy scrutiny of U.S. Olympic athletes' steroid use in 2008. The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) will be busy.
But the USADA lost its first case this past week. Track star LaTasha Jenkins had been accused of using nandralone, a steroid, but an arbitration panel held that necessary testing standards were not met in the case.
Accordingly, Jenkins is free to pursue membership on the U.S. Olympic Team that will race in Beijing.
