Courant.com has posted a pretty convincing list of the likely top stories in the upcoming Olympics.
Number 1 on the list is Michael Phelps (potentially) setting a new record of 7 gold medals in one Olympics. The pressure is on for Phelps. So far, he is the one member of Team USA getting a lot of news coverage prior to the Opening Ceremony. Fortunately for him, he has a good chance of meeting the high expectations.
Other items on the Courant.com list include stories I have covered previously -- U.S. Men's Basketball trying to regain the name "Dream Team" and the Lopez family's taekwondo domination.
