For the U.S. Men's Soccer team, the Olympics officially begin in 1 week (on August 7, 2008) with a match against Japan, but the competition has already begun. The ING Cup games leading up to the Olympics are currently being played in Hong Kong.
Team USA tied the Ivory Coast in a scoreless game yesterday. On August 2, the U.S. soccer squad will play Cameroon.
The Beijing Olympics will provide stiff competition for the U.S. Men's Soccer Team. A win against Cameroon this week could provide some positive momentum heading into game 1 against Japan.
