We learned today that the second Olympic triathlon qualifying tournament will not be in Hawaii as previously reported. Instead, it will be held in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Necessary funding from the State of Hawaii fell through, but fortunately Tuscaloosa provides an acceptable alternative.
The qualifier will be held April 19, 2008, and the first-place American male and female will qualify for the Beijing Olympics.
